¡Hola Familias de Rose Park! Hello Rose Park Families! As we enter a new month I can sense the excitement in students for fun activities coming up like Wacky Wednesday and Valentine's Day. We are finishing strong our lessons in our clases de espanol. Here is a glimpse of what each grade has been doing and what we will be wrapping up in the next few weeks: Kindergarten students have been learning a fun song about clothes and colors, have them sing and show you the motions! 1st Grade students are enjoying a culinary journey through four different Spanish speaking countries and their favorite foods. Our lesson is called ¡Que Rico! (How Delicious!). We have a fun song to express that we are hungry, "Tengo hambre y ¿Tu que quieres comer?" Have them sing the song to you, it is a catchy one! 2nd Grade students are exploring the Bible and the parable of the Good Samaritan. Basic verbs we are learning through this story include, va-to go, ve-to see, ayuda-help. 3rd Grade students are visiting La Escuela (the school) and all the related items and people that are in school. 4th Grade students are learning "Todo Sobre Mi" (All About Me). We are talking about personal and basic physical descriptions. 5th Grade students are enjoying a new song from the Senor Wooly app called "Puedo ir al baño" (Can I go to the bathroom?). It is a fun way to explore verbs and expressions using a digital format that allows students to play interactive learning games. 6th Grade students are learning the story of "Billy y las botas" (Billy and the boots). This is a song from Senor Wooly that introduces important phrases in the present and past tenses.
